Seating in Salem’s Historic Grand Theatre is tiered by Prime, House and Standard Reserved seating or General Admission, depending on the event. Guests requiring special seating consideration due to a medical condition or disability should contact the Box Office to make advance arrangements.
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled event time. The theatre will be opened for seating approximately 20-30 minutes prior to curtain.
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager/Usher at the first appropriate break that allows for the least disruption for the actors and audience. A limited number of latecomers can be accommodated. Please notify the Box Office in advance if you know you will be late.
Service & Handling Fees
In order to maintain inexpensive ticket pricing, as well as help offset expenses related to Box Office hardware and software, Enlightened Theatrics reserves the right to charge a service fee to each sale. We make every effort to keep the fees as reasonable and as minimal as possible.
Event cancellations due to inclement weather or other circumstances are rare. If an event is cancelled, we will make every attempt to contact you to make alternative arrangements. Enlightened Theatrics does not offer refunds once an event has started or ends early. If an event is cancelled, Enlightened Theatrics will publish this information on EnlightenedTheatrics.org, Facebook and/or contact patrons directly, and provide an exchange or full refund (to be determined by Enlightened Theatrics) for the amount that was paid for the ticket. Service fees are NOT refundable. Please note that refunds must be explicitly requested within five (5) days of the announced cancellation to receive the refund. If an event is not cancelled, refunds will not be provided and attendance is expected. Tickets may be exchanged with (48) hour notice, pending availability.
Food & Beverage
Outside food and beverage are prohibited in Salem’s Historic Grand Theatre. Concessions are available in the lobby, and powered by Paradiso at the Grand Theatre and Kitchen on Court Street.
Due to contract and licensing restrictions stipulated by various forms of artist representation, unauthorized use of recording equipment or photography is strictly prohibited at all performances. This includes, but is not limited to cell phones with cameras, video cameras and audio recording devices. Enlightened Theatrics reserves the right to confiscate any and all devices in non-compliance with this policy.
Due to the intimate and interactive nature of our events, unexpected lights and noise may be disruptive for guests, as well as performers on stage, staff and volunteers. Out of courtesy and respect, we insist that all electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, watches, alarms, etc.) be turned off. Conversation must be kept to a minimum and text messaging is highly discouraged.
