In short, Enlightened Theatrics’ is focused on elevating the Salem experience. Founded in February 2013, Enlightened Theatrics strives to maintain an open rapport amongst artists, patrons and staff, honor and promote our mission and vision, and consistently reflect on our past experiences to enhance future endeavors while maintaining a safe, creative and collaborative environment for our organization and the community at large. In the hands of a dedicated team consisting of production and entertainment experts, Enlightened Theatrics has evolved and forged a singular identity for utilizing the performing arts, events and community engagements as vehicles for cultural and economic development, while serving as a resource for education, professional growth, production and outreach. 


As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the mission of Enlightened Theatrics is to enrich the cultural and economic development of Salem, Oregon by offering professional stage experiences, providing access to performing arts education for all, and revitalizing the Historic Grand Theatre.    



We educate by creating training, outreach and a variety of performing arts education programs including classes in acting, dance, technical theatre, voice and musical theatre performance, as well as master classes and workshops with industry professionals.


We employ by offering professional job opportunities for qualified individuals interested in and/or actively pursuing a career in performing arts or education.


We engage by partnering and collaborating with businesses, schools, charitable organizations, city officials, media and more in order to enhance the impact and accessibility of the arts in our community.


We produce by presenting a variety of seasonal productions including theatre, musical theatre, music, film, dance, comedy, new and original works, staged readings, one-act festivals, community events and more.
